Affiliate disclosure — some links may be affiliate links; we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our verdicts.

Affiliate disclosure & editorial policy

Plain English, because that's the whole point of this site.

How our links work

Some of the links on Glimo may be affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra — you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.

That's how Glimo funds itself. We'd rather earn a few pence from a retailer than fill the site with banner ads or take money from brands to say nice things.

What it does not do

An affiliate commission never buys a recommendation. It doesn't move a product up a list, soften a verdict, or get something featured. We recommend exactly what we'd recommend if no affiliate scheme existed — and we regularly point to options we earn nothing from when they're the better buy.

If a commission and an honest verdict ever conflict, the verdict wins. Every time.

How we label it

There's a disclosure line at the top of every page, and we'll always be upfront when a link is an affiliate one. This is also a legal expectation in the UK — the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and consumer protection rules require affiliate relationships to be clear, and we agree with the principle entirely.

Our editorial independence

Medical note

Glimo offers general buying guidance, not medical advice. Skin and health needs vary — if you have a specific concern, a condition, or you're pregnant or breastfeeding, check with a pharmacist or GP before starting a new product.
